How We Pack Your Order For Shipment

Invoices are included in all orders, regardless of size. Please be aware that postal transit damage CAN occur, we have no control over the handling of your package once it leaves our office. International customers are encourage to purchase sufficient Extra Cover (parcel insurance) when ordering from us, as this will allow us to reimburse or replace damaged items.

  • We reuse packing materials where possible. 

Samples
Samples are packed into plastic zip lock baggies and come with full ingredient, safety and vegan information. Sample only orders are shipped to you in a standard paper envelope, although we do take the time to ensure the samples are packaged safely (inside plastic baggies attached to your invoice to prevent movement, as well as being wrapped in thin packaging foam or bubble wrap for extra protection). Although it is less flashy to send our samples this way, it allows us to offer free worldwide shipping on sample only orders. Large sample only orders will be sent in a bubble mailer at no cost to you.

Mini & Full Sized Products
All mini and full sized products are shrink sealed (excluding 10g sizes and up) as well as packaged into plastic zip lock and/or organza bags to prevent movement during transit. Most orders containing mini or full sizes are shipped in standard bubble mailers, however orders containing large quantities of jars are usually boxed for shipment. Boxed orders also contain bubble wrap or void fill to protect the products.

Nail Polishes
Nail polishes are packaged extremely carefully for shipment, as the bottles are made from glass. We contain each polish bottle in zip lock baggies and individual wrappings of bubble or foam wrap to protect the product. Large of orders containing nail polish (10+ bottles) are shipped in a box with void fill. Orders with less than 10 bottles ship in a bubble mailer. We’ve now switched to new packaging (where applicable) using Oxo-Degradable mailers with less PE content making them more environmentally friendly. In addition that they offer all round padded protection with strong tamper evident seals, maximising the security of your goods in transit.

Where We Ship To

We ship most of our products to any country that accepts cosmetics via the postal system. It’s important that you check with your local postal system to see if your country has any mail restrictions regarding cosmetics. For information on where we ship certain products please see our ‘Shipping Restrictions’ at the bottom of the page.

If your package is undelivered due to customs or postal restrictions, Femme Fatale Cosmetics will not be held liable. Please note that in some countries a package may be delayed by customs or postal systems, which is outside of our control.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT POSTAL INSURANCE PURCHASED DOES NOT COVER ANY CHARGES IMPOSED ON THE PARCEL BY YOUR COUNTRY. Parcel insurance covers you for a replacement or refund of the merchandise (value) in the rare event that a package is damaged or lost by the postal system.

Declaring Parcel Contents

We have a legal obligation to truthfully declare all international parcel contents and merchandise cost, please do not request from us that we alter any information pertaining to your order, as we will be unable to do so. Again, please be aware if your country has any postal restrictions regarding cosmetics or package surcharges prior to purchasing from us.

Additional Fees, Taxes or Charges Applicable to Your Order Once Shipped

The buyer or receiver is solely responsible for all duties, fees, taxes or applicable charges relating to the package. Femme Fatale Cosmetics is not liable for any duties, fees or taxes charged by your countries mail system, government bodies or custom departments. Customers not wishing to pay any applicable charges made by their country on their order will not be refunded in the event the package is returned to us, as we cannot certify the products are sanitary.

Extra Cover (Parcel Insurance)

You are not required to have insurance, but I cannot recommend it enough. The purpose of Extra Cover is to ensure you receive what you paid for. Opting to not insure your package is at your own risk. If you choose to not have Extra Cover – Femme Fatale Cosmetics cannot be held accountable for any damages or loss after we have shipped your order.

Purchasing Extra Cover will guarantee your package receivership or a replacement of items that may be lost/damaged in transit. If you choose not to purchase Extra Cover Femme Fatale Cosmetics will not grant you a refund or replacement of damaged, lost or stolen items.

By placing an order through our website, you are agreeing that by not purchasing Extra Cover you will not hold Femme Fatale Cosmetics responsible in the event of lost, undelivered, damaged or stolen goods caused by the postal system. You are agreeing that to not purchase Extra Cover is at your own risk and that you (the buyer) will be responsible for the replacement of items should you choose to repurchase or reorder them.

Shipping Options Australian Customers

Postage options for Australian based customers only.

Tracking:

Australian customers can track their parcels here if it has been shipped via Fastway Couriers. If you live in a regional area and your parcel has shipped via Australia Post please track your parcel here. You will receive a tracking number in your PAYPAL email notification and website generated notification which is sent upon postage of your order. Please ensure you track your parcel as they require signature on delivery. The tracking is efficient and updated regularly – so please use this feature!

Delivery Instructions:

Specific delivery instructions for are available, please leave these in the order notes section. Signature upon delivery is included in all orders. This means someone must be able to sign for your parcel. If your parcel is unable to be signed for a card will be left at your address with the contact number of your local carrier. Please contact them directly to organise a delivery or collection time that suits you. Customers who choose to leave specific instructions (eg: leave at back door) waive the Signature on Delivery feature of their parcel.

Signature on Delivery:

All national parcels WILL REQUIRE A SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY. If you are not at the address to sign for the parcel a calling card will be left. If you think a delivery attempt has been made but no card is left please CHECK YOUR TRACKING as it will show whether anyone has tried to deliver the parcel or not. If a SOD is NOT obtained and the customer does NOT contact the courier to reorganise a delivery time then the parcel is returned to sender. If the parcel is returned you can opt to have it resent at your own expense or refunded for the merchandise minus a restocking fee of 15%.

DELIVERY IS UNAVAILABLE TO PO BOXES. If you require  PO BOX delivery please contact us prior to placing your order and we will see if we can work with you to find a solution. Please note postage prices WILL vary.

Please be aware delivery time-frames are a guideline only. Your parcel may arrive sooner or later than outlined above, depending on season, weather and so forth.

If you think your parcel is taking a longer time than usual please CHECK YOUR TRACKING. Fastway is excellent with their tracking service and prompt in showing exactly what is going on with your parcel. If you are still concerned please contact your local depot for more information, they are very friendly and helpful!

Tracking your parcel

Australian Customers:

Track your parcel here. You will receive a tracking number in your PAYPAL email notification which is sent upon postage of your order. EXCLUDES SAMPLE-ONLY ORDERS – these orders do not receive tracking.

International Customers:

You will receive a 13 digit code in your PAYPAL email notification (this one that tells you the parcel was shipped). An example number is LC873786755AU. This is the number from the Customs Declaration Form attached to your parcel. Some countries such as the USA are excellent with scanning and tracking this number. Some countries like Australia will not scan them at all and thus no tracking will show. Please contact your LOCAL post system with the number for assistance. We cannot track your parcel outside of Australia and will be unable to assist you.

Shipping Options International Customers

Orders containing over 1kg of product will require a custom quote from us. Unfortunately Australia Post is terribly expensive, and as postage weight increases as does the price. With orders containing over 1kg we may find that shipping in multiple parcels of under 500g becomes more cost effective.

Shipping Restrictions On Nail Lacquer

The only product we currently have shipping restrictions on are our range of nail polishes. The restriction on these products is as follows:

  1. Available to Australian based customers only
  2. International orders cannot be placed if they contain nail lacquer ( you will be unable to checkout and proceed to payment).

Nail polishes are a flammable substance, which classifies them as a dangerous good. Dangerous goods can only be shipped internationally by a dangerous goods licensed carrier such as DHL . Unfortunately as we are a small business with a smaller shipping volume than larger corporate companies, we’re unable to secure a DG shipping account with DHL. This means we cannot ship polish ourselves, HOWEVER we are still looking into available options for getting our polishes shipped internationally. So make sure you follow us via RSS or Facebook to stay up to date on our progress with getting our polishes overseas :)

Shipping not available when trying to check out

If you are trying to check out with less than $8.00AUD worth of merchandise in the cart the shipping will show as unavailable with the above message, and you will not be able to checkout. We have a $8.00AUD minimum spend for all orders. If you receive this message when you have over $8.00AUD worth of merchandise please contact us.

If you live outside of Australia and have POLISH in your cart you will NOT be able to checkout and will receive the above message. This is because we cannot ship polish overseas at this point in time.
