Application Guide
Glitter polish is usually thicker than regular polish because it requires a thicker base to support the glitter. Its best to shake the bottle before you begin application. Some polishes with large glitters may require you to place them upside down for a few minutes to bring the glitter back to the top of the bottle. Sometimes its best to apply glitter polishes using a ‘dab and spread’ method. Let each layer dry before applying the next layer to avoid disturbing the previous layer of glitter.
Thick top coats work best to smooth out glitter. NWP usually apply two coats of top coat with super glittery polishes. External use only.
About Native War Paints
From the creator:
“Native War Paints was created by me, Amanda Pigeon-Scribner. I am a member of the Pokagon band of Pottawatomie located in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. I’m a former Miss Potawatomi Nation and I started mixing or “frankening” at a young age. I enjoyed mixing different colors together to make something new. I always dreamed of owning my own polish line and the Artisan, Indie polish craze has helped make that dream a reality.
The name Native War Paints refers to my 100% Native American dad’s opinion that I was wearing too much make up or a polish that was too flashy as a teenager. Being a conservative Native American man, he didn’t approve of my flashy appearance and he would tell me to “Go wash off that war paint.”
Nail polish, make up and my culture have always been my passions. Thank you for supporting me, I promise that there will be many more exciting things to come.”
