Russian researchers in the late 1940s kept five people awake for fifteen days using an experimental gas based stimulant. They were kept in a sealed environment to carefully monitor their oxygen intake so the gas didn’t kill them, since it was toxic in high concentrations. This was before closed circuit cameras so they had only microphones and five inch thick glass porthole sized windows into the chamber to monitor them. The chamber was stocked with books, cots to sleep on but no bedding, running water and toilet, and enough dried food to last all five for over a month. Read more on the Russian Sleep Experiment on Creepypasta (this piece of fiction is not for faint of heart).

Our Sleep Experiment Purge Potion is a mouthwatering aroma of fresh coffee dashed with hazelnuts. A scrumptious, gourmand fragrance.

Application and Uses

Purge Potion is a sugar scrub made with Australian cane sugar, Grapeseed Oil (good for mature/dry skin), Avocado Oil (great for sensitive skin), and Shea Butter for moisture and conditioning. The consistency is usually gelatinous to soft solid however in VERY warm climates the oils and butters may soften back to liquid state. We highly recommend you store your unit in a cool location, upright.

Rub onto wet skin to buff away built-up oils or grime. We recommend exfoliating only once a week with large particle purge potions. Skin can develop temporary blotches after scrubbing; so it’s a good idea to avoid sugar scrubs a few days before an important event.

Suitable for body, not facial, use. Do not ingest or apply to mucous membranes. Recommended shelf life of 2 months after opening.
With all cosmetic & body products, spot test on your arm prior to use. If you experience a reaction to this product, please discontinue use immediately and consult with your GP.

About Obscūrus

obscure
c. 1400, “dark,” figuratively “morally unenlightened; gloomy,” from Old French obscur, oscur “dark, clouded, gloomy; dim, not clear” (12c.) and directly from Latin obscūrus “dark, dusky, shady,” figuratively “unknown; unintelligible; hard to discern; from insignificant ancestors”.

obscūrus explores my interest in medieval history, ancient civilisations, unexplained phenomena on and off planet, the history of the stars, theology, alchemy, occultism, and fine art. Interlinked with my blooming experiments with fragrance; and colour play beyond the limitations I’ve had in cosmetic manufacturing. After two years of research and formulation specifically into bath and body products, I am taking my time introducing new items so that I can ensure they are perfect for me, and you.

ALL product descriptions and information is provided by the brand. Although we strive to provide you with an accurate portrayal of the product, please keep in mind many factors are subjective. What we have listed as ‘microglitter’ may be described by the customer as just a ‘glitter’ or ‘texture’; an ‘emerald green’ may be seen as a ‘rich teal’ by the customer. Our product swatches are picked carefully by our team, but please remember that swatches are also subjective to application technique and lighting. While every attempt is made to accurately portray all product colours, variations from what you see on your screen compared to what you see with your own eyes are inevitable due to individual monitor settings. If you are unsure as to if a product is suitable for you, we encourage you to contact us via the ‘Product Enquiry’ tab, we are more than happy to assist you wherever we can. We also encourage customers to view our review tab (if applicable), and to visit the site of the swatcher (linked at base of 'description' tab, if applicable). Most swatchers review their products, and their firsthand experience & product knowledge is valuable!
