obscūrus wax tarts are hand poured in small batches using 100% soy wax, wax colourant and a blend of fragrance and essential oils. Our wax is slightly soft as we have opted to go with a high scent load.
You will receive one unit containing 6 segments to the approximate weight of .65 grams net total. These are easy to break apart, gentle bend the container like you were to snap a block of chocolate. Once a segments starts to crack away from it’s siblings you can pop it out with your fingers :)
Wax tarts are made to be used in wax warmers only. Do not leave your wax warmer unattended, near children or pets. Ensure that nothing flammable is near the warmer when in use.
Once the fragrance starts to lessen (usually after several melts of the same piece of wax) you can switch it out for a new piece. Please do not overload your wax warmer.
Our packaging is recyclable.
*Please note the packaging displays a text error; the collection is named ‘Northern Lights’ where it should be ‘Northern Skies’. We apologise for the confusion and error.
c. 1400, “dark,” figuratively “morally unenlightened; gloomy,” from Old French obscur, oscur “dark, clouded, gloomy; dim, not clear” (12c.) and directly from Latin obscūrus “dark, dusky, shady,” figuratively “unknown; unintelligible; hard to discern; from insignificant ancestors”.
obscūrus explores my interest in medieval history, ancient civilisations, unexplained phenomena on and off planet, the history of the stars, theology, alchemy, occultism, and fine art. Interlinked with my blooming experiments with fragrance; and colour play beyond the limitations I’ve had in cosmetic manufacturing. After two years of research and formulation specifically into bath and body products, I am taking my time introducing new items so that I can ensure they are perfect for me, and you.
