Use with 1 or more creme based colors in your polish collection, dark colors will show off the dramatic color shift best.
You just need one fluid art polish and one regular polish for cells to form, however you can use multiples of each in a fluid art “pool”. More cells will form the more runny or thin your polishes are.
You CAN use polishes with flakies, holo etc. It’s a myth that these types of polishes will not work for fluid art. It’s all about the formula of the fluid art polishes. It’s best to not use glitter polishes, the glitter will sometimes inhibit the cell/spot formation.
To use: Drip spots of La Vie En Rose fluid art polish onto a silicone mat in a puddle with drops of thin regular polishes on top. You can either fold the puddle of nail polish in half and open to watch the spots appear! OR you can pick up your mat and turn it back and forth until you see a design you like. Let it dry until you can peel it off the mat, this usually takes 30 mins to a few hours (depending on your climate and room temp). Cut it to shape of your nail to apply. Or you can use latex barrier around the nail and lay the decal on top of tacky base coat.
“Cut” and clean up the edges of the nail with acetone and a brush or rubber nail art implement.
As with any other polish, apply with base and top coat between.
