Ingredients: Macadamia Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Candelilla Wax, Virgin Coconut Oil, Olive Squalane, Fragrance, Vitamin E, Mineral Color.
Size: 2 oz. tin of solid lotion, measuring 2.5 inches in diameter by 3/4 in. deep.
Application and Uses
Solid lotions have a different feel than the water-based lotions you may be used to. They are long-lasting moisturizers, somewhat like body butters or salves. Although they feel slightly oily when you first apply them, they will absorb quickly while leaving a thin layer that helps protect your skin. They even last through a few hand-washings. Try a small amount at first – a little goes a long way!
I’ve found so many uses for these lotions. Here are a few suggestions:
- Hand cream
- Solid Perfume
- Cuticle Butter
- Massage Oil
- Hair Pomade
- Travel Lotion
Say goodbye forever to those mass-produced lotions and their mysterious ingredients. I love solid lotions because, since there is no water added, they don’t require any chemical preservatives. They also come in cute portable tins that are 100% reusable and recyclable. No plastic bottles!
About Epically Epic Soaps
Back in 2008, I remember having a discussion with some friends about what to do with my life. I had been an art gallery director and a painter for 10 years and was in the mood to try something new. One of the possibilities I mentioned was starting a soap company. I didn’t really think it would happen, but a couple of months later I tried making a few soaps. The first ones turned out pretty tragic, but I became completely obsessed with learning more and getting my company started. I really wanted to call it a “Soap Co.” even though it’s just me doing everything.
I come up with product ideas like I used to come up with painting ideas. I can get inspiration from nature, cooking, and frequently from dreams. My mind is always open to new flavors, scents and designs, I just wish I had time to make them all.
Once in a while people see me in my studio and ask, “Why do you want to do all that soap stuff? Isn’t it a lot of work?” or “Wouldn’t you rather be a painter again?” Not really! I am having so much fun doing this, it doesn’t feel like work at all. It’s what I was born to do!
