Magnetic polishes are an out-of-this-world invention! With the power of a magnet, colour is shifted and relocated on the nail for a futuristic 3D effect. For best results, you need a strong magnet with the right magnetic pattern – and not all magnets will work. The KBShimmer Black S Magnet is strong and features two ends, one with a “cat’s eye” or linear pattern and the other that when used on its side, produces a X pattern. The KBShimmer Black S Magnet can be used with all magnetic polishes (including gel varieties).

It doesn’t really make a strong S shape. Especially if you have small nails, you only get the middle of the S, so it just looks like a straight line… I recommend looking up a youtube video of someone using it before you buy.

Strength is about on par with the usual magnetic wands. This one generates four different designs depending on how the magnet is angled! An X, elongated S-shape, normal cats-eye line, and a magnetic repel – however, the S is not really a true S-shape, more like a slightly curvy line. Recommend looking up Youtube videos for usage.

I bought this magnet because all the others were out of stock, which was a hint at the underwhelming performance. I personally couldn’t get anything better than a weird blob shape. I ended up buying a random magnet from a magnet store and got way better results.
