It would be better without sifter because of no cap where putting in powder to use .

Saves a bit of room in my makeup box and lets me try out a bunch of eyeshadows at the same time. I like it!

These are great! I keep buying them as presents for people. They are very convenient for travel if you choose your colour combos carefully, and they certainly save space vs. bringing along 8 single shadows. The only thing which can sometimes be annoying is the lack of a lid to mix liners in or tap excess product on. It depends on your method of application as to whether this will affect you or not.

I really wanted to like these. It seemed like such a good idea and a space saver, like another review said. This was one of my first indie purchases, and I wish I could tell my former self that buying three was a terrible idea. These stackers have become the bane of my existence.
My main problem with them is they are falling apart after only 3-4 months. I treat all of my products with care, and these are the only ones I’ve ever had concerns with. The stackers first started showing stress fractures after only a few uses… little cracks started developing around the threads and places where the different shades connect. I don’t tighten them especially hard, but if I didn’t tighten them firmly I got powder spillage (one of the eye shadows had actually spilled a bit into my package when I got them, but I figured it was just rough handling from international shipping that made it loose).
I keep them in a drawer in a jewelry box, and don’t pull them out all that much because I have found them to be a bit inconvenient. That’s my other, less severe problem. I found that the sifters are basically useless in keeping the shadow from getting out of control unless you can manage to keep these vertical 100% of the time. The labels of the shadows get covered in product and are difficult to read since only one on each stack has a true cap. Even if I lightly brush the shadow off of the label, it gets all smeary. I wised up a bit and put tape over the labels that weren’t already destroyed to try to preserve them a little, but I didn’t think of that until it was too late.
Back to my main problem. Today I reached for one of my stackers only to find big pieces of one crumbling off. The stress lines had converged, and the thing was disintegrating. Not just on one stacker, but on two! Thankfully I had a few empty jars that I was going to depot samples into. I was able to use them for the four colors with the worse crumbles that wouldn’t have survived otherwise. I will have to buy more single containers and transfer all of over now, though, because I see signs of the same thing happening in at least two other places, including the one stack that is still intact at the moment.
I am a bit surprised at the quality considering the mostly positive reviews. However, my experience has been a nightmare. I wish I had just ordered the shadows individually because I love the products themselves. Sigh… Oh well. I have contacted Femme Fatale to let them know, but I also thought anyone considering getting these should know my experience.

*ADMIN NOTE* We have resolved the issue with the customer, and refunded immediately upon being notified of the damaged units.
We also decided to test our current stock (and stock from roughly 7-10 months ago that we still have on hand in premade stackers) for the same fractures and resulting damages.
Our tests included dropping full 5 piece stackers from 1-2 meter heights onto concrete floors up to 9 times, then pressure exerted onto any resulting hairline cracks, multiple times. We were unable to recreate the issues of the unit shattering/crumbling (except the lid which a piece shattered off) and have concluded it is likely that these affected units the customer unfortunately received were faulty.
We have also forwarded all relating information and photos to our supplier for resolution and advice; plus reinstated with the team to be extra cautious when evaluating stock during prep and packing.
As always if you experience ANY issues with our packaging please contact us at sales@femmefatalecosmetics.com.au for resolution. We also encourage any customers who have concerns or questions about our stackers to feel free to contact us as we are more than happy to help however possible :)

All of the shadows I purchased were lovely, but I’ll review the packaging here. I have gotten stackers in both 8 and 5, eyeshadows. The jars are nice and well-made. Unlike with some jars, the sifters did not cause any problem for closing for me. The threaded area between the jars, where they are attached, it a little taller than I expected. The area underneath the jars of the stackers that I got is rounded. This isn’t an issue unless you ever want to remove the name label stickers, as the rounded surface makes them stick weirdly, so they’re a little less attractive if you want to use the stickers again. Also, it’s difficult to remove the stickers with the threaded rim, but that’s not really an issue. Eyeshadows are fabulous, and the packaging is as described in the product listing (space-saving!), but I prefer the packaging of regular mini jars.

I love all of the eye shadows I got. The stackers seemed to be a good way to save space (which is true) and keep all of my shadows together (also true). But I have found that with me purchasing more shadows, the single package has its own advantages: you can mix and match the shadows any way you want if you take them with you, e.g. on a holiday. So, if you have basic shades that you would want to keep together and always take them all with you, this stacker is a great decision. If you like more to have a widers selection and plan to buy many femme fatale eye shadows, I would consider the single packaging.

Like everyone else seems to have mentioned, these are great for travel; super compact and very handy. However, it’s also a little inconvenient because you can’t really tell which colours are which without opening (depending on which shade I’m looking for!), and I feel like I lose a little more product. But that’s mostly an issue with how I like to use my makeup, I suppose! If the convenience of having all your colours in one stack is what you’re after, these are perfect.
