Joelle hit the ink note spot on. The best way I can describe it is like metallic berries. I can pick out the woody-pages and the tea (which smells to me like a teabag of English Breakfast) and a slight peppery note that I assume is the violet. This is a very unique offering and I love the literary inspiration behind it.

Short Version of review: This is a bitter, inky wood that turns into lightly sweet violet. I grew to love this. This is a scent that you may want to try a few times because the opening is much different than the dry-down. It rewards you by slowly turning sweeter as the bitterness runs through. I do not get a common musty-glue type of vanilla used in book perfumes. It’s definitely a scent more for ink lovers or those who like being greeted by some nice violets. I find they aren’t very strong in the beginning. I find this less sweet than other Poesies. It is a nice concentration and has great throw as an oil. Dark and mildly moody.

Myself Invisible is an absolute delight of subtle soft notes. As soon as you smell it it transports you to a realm of quiet contemplative libraries, and cozy reading nooks. The paper and ink notes play beautifully with a very subtle accompaniment of violets and tea. It has become my go-to sleep scent or for just when I want to feel more centered, calm, and comfortable. I can not adequately express how much I truly adore and admire this scent!
