I’m so glad I received a sample of Madar in my first Poesie order. I might not have tried it on my own, expecting it to be too sweet for my taste. To my surprise, it just smells like warmth and comfort; cozy and familiar in spite of the gently exotic spices. An exquisite scent that helped me learn how much I love rice notes in perfumes. My nose may not be refined enough to pick up on the orange blossom or saffron as distinct scents but the cinnamon and cardamom are soft and go nicely with the sweetened rice. I get a bit more of the pistachio coming through on dry down. A soothing fragrance at the end of a long day. Love it.

You can easily pick up so many different elements here…the floral, the sweet, the pistachio. It’s SO good and yes, trust the description, you may find yourself craving rice pudding.

    Rich and creamy, verging on too sweet but not quite tipping over that line. The dried rose petals and pistachios emerge in the drydown, overall a gorgeous scent. I just wish it had a bit more rice to balance out the sweetness, but maybe I should buy Soft and try layering them together.

    so sweet and creamy and comforting! I personally have difficulty with distinguishing specific notes in this perfume, but it absolutely smells like rice pudding.

    I get beautiful, creamy dried rose petals, the classic rice note in Soft, and pistachio that I recognise from Green Girl. The rose is just divine.
